Baron-General Édouard Empain, a visionary industrialist from Belgium, won a contract in 1900 to build the electrical infrastructure for the Paris Metro. In 1946, this company was renamed Société Parisienne pour l'Industrie Électrique, SPIE for short.

The company SPIE BTA Czechia s.r.o. operates on the Czech market as a reliable supplier in the field of building technologies and security systems. We focus on the supply and installation of indoor installations, especially in the areas of ventilation, cooling, heating, sanitary installations, measurement and regulation, high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, as well as security, control, and information systems. We provide our customers with design activities through our own design department in all the mentioned fields, as well as comprehensive warranty and post-warranty service, including in the form of service contracts.
Since the beginning of our activities, we have emphasized the high quality of the services provided, the fulfillment of agreed deadlines, and a professional approach to each project, while strictly adhering to the highest occupational health and safety standards.

After the approval of this transaction by the relevant authorities in both countries, a definitive agreement on the sale of all three companies and the transfer of ownership rights to all companies to the new owners was signed on August 3, 2022.
In connection with the changes in the ownership structure, as of November 21, 2022, the names of the companies were also changed to: SPIE Stangl Technik spol. s r.o. and SPIE STS a.s.
After the approval of this transaction by the relevant authorities in both countries, a definitive agreement on the sale of both companies and the transfer of ownership rights to both companies to the new owners was signed on April 11, 2018.
In connection with the changes in the ownership structure, on April 23, 2018, our company's name was also changed to Stangl Technik Česko spol. s r. o.
On October 10, 2018, the ownership rights of ARANEA SYSTEMS a.s. were transferred to Stangl Technik Holding sp. z o.o. and the trade name was changed to ST Security a.s.
This also led to the renaming of the company to EQOS Energie Česko spol. s r. o.
